Introducing Jigsaw Coaching…

Modern living in our hectic, fast-paced world is taking its toll, affecting our mental health and leading to social isolation and physical ailments. Yet there is still a fear which prevents us from speaking openly about our struggles, or admitting we need help.

More people are considering coaching, as it provides them with a safe space to reflect on their life without the perceived (though unjustified) stigma of counselling or therapy. In a neutral, supportive space with gentle challenges, we can start to listen to our thoughts spoken out loud, and discover our own tailor-made solutions to our struggles.

Windvane plus quote

I first came across coaching almost 10 years ago, and was impressed at how beneficial it was in helping me to see my situation differently. I’ve now realised my dream of starting a coaching business, encouraging people to follow their heart to create the life they desire.

In my career, I’ve interviewed prisoners in Wymott prison, and worked with unemployed people with a disability. I’ve saw how well many of them responded to a non-judgemental, friendly face, not part of the system that they found themselves within. This inspired me to form a social enterprise, to find ways of supporting more vulnerable people who wouldn’t normally be able to access coaching.

I’m also interested in people going through a transition in their life, and supporting them to manage it, using empathy and creative methods. Another focus for me is how work affects health – we spend too much of our time there to dismiss the stresses and strains as ‘just part of the job’.

Jigsaw Coaching also runs workshops:

Finding Work you Love – July 2018

How to Be Creative – September 18

How To Survive Your Job When You Can’t Leave will run again in November. This is an issue that has come up several times when coaching clients. I’ve put together a day where a small group can learn tools and tips to help them find better coping strategies. By sharing their experiences in a safe space, they can build their resilience and gain a fresh perspective on their job.

I’m also involved in some interesting collaborations – working in partnership with others from different backgrounds and skill mix often leads to a synergy, creating something greater and more satisfying than expected.

If any of this strikes a chord with you, please get in touch – I’d be happy to have a chat to see how we could work together.
